UW-Stout 187.400, Hamline University 182.500
ST. PAUL, Minn. (February 11, 2022) - Several of UW-Stout's routines had either upgrades or new routines and it showed as the Blue Devils returned their team score to more than 187 points for the third time this season at Hamline University. Stout defeated the Pipers 187.400-182.500 Friday.
The Blue Devils finished first, second and third on the vault, uneven bars and balance beam, had a first and second place finishes on the floor exercise and were first and second in the all-around.

Mikala Bugge
Super-senior
Mikala Bugge scored a pair of personal-bests in winning both the vault and the uneven bars. Bugge scored a 9.725 on the vault, topping her previous best of 9.700 she set last week in a home meet, then scored a 9.525 on the uneven bars. On her vault routine, Bugge threw a new routine that included a handspring front half.
Kiara Brown had a solid night, winning the floor exercise with a 9.650 and the all-around in her first all-around competition of the season, scoring a 37.525. Brown was second on the vault with a 9.425, second on the uneven bars with a 9.500 and seventh on the balance beam.Â
Effie Ferguson captured was first on the balance beam with a 9.625 and was third on the uneven bars with a 9.275, Â
Carlie Beatty and
Genevieve Czaplewski tied for second on the balance beam with a 9.575. CzaplewskiÂ
Jenna Jones gave Stout the three-person sweep on the vault by matching Brown's score of 9.525 to tie for second.
Isabela Krulich was second in the all-around with a 36.325.Â
Tonight's score was the second-highest score of the season for the Blue Devils and Stout coach
Becky Beaulieu sees her young team starting to gel.
"We are starting to unwrap the potential of this team," the veteran coach said. "There is more in this group of 16 women."
Stout returns home Thursday, Feb. 17 to face Gustavus Adolphus College at 6:30 p.m. in the Blue Devils' final home meet of the season.Â
