LAKE GENEVA (October 2, 2022) – UW-Stout had three players in the top 10 at the first day of the UW-Stout Fall Invitational at Grand Geneva Resort.
Austin Gaby is in first with a three-under 68 on The Highlands Course.
Matt Mueller is in a six-way tie for second with a career-best two-under 69 and
Hunter Neumann is tied for 10th with a 74. Mueller's previous best was a 78 shot at the season opener at Glen Erin.
Gaby recorded an eagle on the 389 yard, par-4 first hole, then backed that up with a birdie on the 506 yard, par-5 second hole. Gaby finished the day with five birdies.
Mueller collected birdies on both holes No. 1 and No. 2, finishing the day with five birdies.
Dalton Anderson is tied for 16th with a 75.
Scott Springer is in a nine-way tie for 34th with a 79.
Connor Nelson is in a seven-way tie for 43rd with an 80.
Adam Schilawski is in a seven-way tie for 54th with an 82.
Garret Sigl is in a six-way tie for 61st with an 83.
Eugene Gregorich is in a six-way tie for 67th with an 84.
Cole Noreen and
Ansen Nomm are in a four-way tie for 76th with an 87.
Owen Moesch is tied for 89th with a 90.
As a team, Stout is fourth of 21 teams with team score of 301, the team's second-lowest score of the season. Stout's second team is in sixth with a 310.
The meet will conclude Monday, Oct. 3, on the par 72 Brute course.
