Blue Devil men's golf wraps up longest event of the year

Twin Cities Classic

WAYZATA, Minn. (September 27, 2021) - UW-Stout wrapped up their event of the season by finishing 13th at the three-day Twin Cities Classic Monday at Wayzata Country Club.

Austin Gaby, who led off the event with a school record, 7-under par 65, tied for 11th going 65-77-82 - 224. As a team, Stout placed 13th with a 298-312-325 - 939. Of the 21 teams that competed, 19 saw their scores rise on the third and final day. The event started started at the Links at Northfield in Ramsay, Minn., moved to Elk River Golf Club and finished at Wayzata.

Dalton Anderson tied for 60th (77-78-82 - 237), Sam Klobucar tied for 64th (81-77-80 - 238), Hunter Neumann tied for 70th (77-79-84 - 240), Matt Johnson tied for 72nd (79-79-83 - 241) and Matt Mueller finished 108th (82-84-94 - 260). Noah Benbow withdrew after the second round (77-83-WD).

Glavine Schugel of St. John's University earned medalist honors (71-69-75 - 215) and the Johnnies won the team event.

Stout will close out the fall season when they compete at the MSOE Invitational, Oct. 3-4 at Lake Geneva.
