2020-21Â USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award
MENOMONIE (July 19, 2021) -Â The UW-Stout volleyball team received the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 season.
The Blue Devils were one of the 1,275 collegiate and high school teams selected to the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 season. The honor was bestowed upon 233 NCAA Division III schools.
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams from all levels of competition that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale. The Blue Devils recorded a 3.42 team GPA for the 2020-21 school year. UW-Stout has received the award for the past five seasons.Â
The Blue Devils did not compete during the 2020-21 school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Stout is scheduled to open the 2021 season when they host Hamline University, Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m.

About the AVCA
The AVCA, with its headquarters in Lexington, Ky., is managed by Associations International.
