A LOOK AT THE BLUE DEVILS
- The Blue Devils are currently fifth in the NCGA with an average score of 188.330. On individual events, Stout is currently ranked first on the balance beam (47.4438), fourth on the floor exercise (47.5625), second on the vault (47.6813) and seventh on the uneven bars (46.4125). All averages are SAS averages.
- Stout won their first ever WIAC Championship/NCGA Midwest Regional title last season and finished second at the NCGA Championship, their best-ever finish. Shadae Boone returns after winning both the NCGA and WIAC vault titles. Brooke Terry returns after winning the WIAC all-around and the balance beam title. Mikala Bugge returns as the defending WIAC champion on the floor exercise. Boone, Terry, Bugge, and Britney Wolfe return after earning NCGA All-America honors.
- Independent Division III Centenary College from Louisiana is currently ranked No. 1 in Division III with an average score of 189.714. According to team SAS numbers, UW-Whitewater is No. 1 (189.3063), defending national champion Brockport State is second (189.0063)) in the NCGA, while UW-Oshkosh is third (188.8063), UW-La Crosse fourth (188.5313), UW-Stout fifth (188.3000), Cortland State sixth (188.2563), Springfield College seventh (187.6938), Ursinus eighth (187.0563), Ithaca College ninth (186.8438) and Winona State 10th (184.4125). Whitewater tops the West Region, Oshkosh second, La Crosse third, Stout fourth and Winona State fifth. . - Seven Blue Devils were named to the 2019 NCGA All Championship Team. Shadae Boone was selected for the vault and the floor exercise, Brooke Terry was selected for the balance beam and the vault, Mikala Bugge was selected on the floor exercise and vault, Mallary Dick was selected on the uneven bars, Belle Ihde was selected on the floor exercise and Britney Wolfe was selected on the balance beam.
- On their roster, Blue Devils have five seniors, six juniors, three sophomores and six freshmen.

UW-STOUT LAST TIME OUT:
- UW-Stout tallied their highest team score of the year as they faced off in a dual with the top-ranked team in the NCAA Division II, Lindenwood University Sunday. The Blue Devils totaled 189.725, while the host school Lions finished with a 195.075. The Blue Devils recorded nine personal-best scores throughout the day, three on vault, one on uneven bars, four on balance beam and one on floor exercise. While the Lions took at least the top three spots on all of the individual events, Brooke Terry captured the top spot on the all-around event with a 37.850. Terry scored a personal-best on the uneven bars with a 9.650 to place fourth. Terry scored a 9.550 on the balance beam, a 9.550 on the floor exercise and a 9.100 on the vault. Britney Wolfe finished in a three-way tie for third place on the balance beam, scoring a personal best 9.750. Personal bests were also scored on the beam by Carlie Beatty (9.675), Chloe Beatty (9.550) and Kailyn Westbrook (9.375). Shadae Boone placed fourth on the vault with a score of 9.800, short of her school record of 9.825. A LOOK AT UW-EAU CLAIRE: Eau Claire hosted UW-Oshkosh on Friday night, falling to the Titans by a score of 186.900 to 178.700. Danielle Malecha scored a 9.450 to lead the Blugolds on the balance beam, placing third.  Emma Barry led Eau Claire on the vault, placing fourth with a score of 9.325 while Christina Leikam also tallied a fourth place finish after recording an 8.900 on the uneven parallel bars. On the floor exercise, Jordan Ehde was the highest Blugold finisher with a 9.225 to take fifth place. |Â

A LOOK AT HAMLINE UNIVERSITY: The Pipers finished third in a triangular at Winona State along with UW-Whitewater, Feb. 22. The Pipers scored 182.550. Tisana Lowe was first on the vault (9.600) and finished second on the floor exercise (9.475) to pace the Pipers. She was also runner-up in the all-around tallying a 37.325. A LOOK AT WINONA STATE UNIVERSITY: Winona placed second on Saturday afternoon in McCown Gymnasium while hosting a tri-meet on Senior Night. The Warriors scored 184.525 team points, finishing second to UW-Whitewater with a score of 187.975. Hamline placed third with a score of 182.550. The Warriors took home two firsts, as Shelsea Zehr scored a 9.525 to take home the floor prize, while the beam machine Kelly Johnston took home the balance beam top prize with a score of 9.650. Megan Tran scored a season best 9.200 on bars while Callie Van Dyck tied her season best with a score of 9.300. Tran also had a season best score of 9.200 to place fifth on beam. Anna Hiller (9.325) and Hannah Matuszak (9.250) would each score season highs on bars to place fifth and seventh.  Maddie Bronson each scored a 9.425 to tie for fifth on Vault. |Â

UW-STOUT COACH BECKY BEAULIEU:
- Becky Beaulieu is in her 15th season in 2020 as the Blue Devil coach.
- Under Beaulieu's direction, UW-Stout gymnasts have earned 53 All-American awards and Beaulieu has coached national champions on the balance beam in 2008, the floor exercise in 2009, the uneven bars in 2010, the vault and floor exercise in 2011, the floor in 2015 and the vault in 2019. The 2019 team won the WIAC/NCGA Midwest Championship and finished second at the NCGA Championship.
- A UW-Stout gymnast has qualified and competed at the NCAA Division I regionals in 2009 at the University of Iowa, in 2010 at the University of Utah and in 2018 at the University of Minnesota.
- Beaulieu, competing as Becky McDonnell at UW-La Crosse from 1997-2001, captured back-to-back NCGA floor exercise titles in 1998 and 1999. She established a since-eclipsed school floor exercise record score of 9.8. A seven-time NCGA All-American, she also garnered all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors nine times. The Eagles, for which she was a two-year captain, won two NCGA titles during her competing days.
- Beaulieu has been named the WIAC Coach of Year three times - 2011, 2015 and 2019. She was the NCGA West Region Coach of the Year
- In 2012, Beaulieau was selected to the WIAC All-Time Gymnastics Team as the conference celebrated their 100th anniversary.
- Beaulieu was inducted into the UW-La Crosse Wall of Fame in 2016.
- Seth Helland joined the Blue Devil coaching staff in 2019. Helland was the head coach at Brainerd, Minn., High School, before coming to Menomonie.
WIAC AND NCGA: TheÂ
Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) is made up of eight schools - UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stout, UW-Whitewater, Hamline University, Gustavus Adolphus College and Winona State University. These eight schools make up the NCGA West Region and are also members of the 14-schoolÂ
National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA). The six East schools are: SUNY-Brockport, SUNY-Cortland, Ithaca (NY) College, Springfield (Mass) College, Rhode Island College, and Ursinus (Pa) College. Each region holds their own regional meet to determine which teams and individuals will advance to the NCGA Championship. The championship is alternated yearly between the East and the West, with the West hosting the event generally during the odd numbered years.
DOWN THE ROAD:Â Â The Blue Devils will be at the eight-team combination WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional Saturday, March 7 at UW-Eau Claire beginning at 4 p.m.
