Gymnasts score highest total of year against top ranked Division II Lindenwood

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (February 23, 2020) - UW-Stout tallied their highest team score of the year as they faced off in a dual with the top-ranked team in the NCAA Division II, Lindenwood University Sunday. The Blue Devils totaled 189.725, while the host school Lions finished with a 195.075.

The Blue Devils recorded nine personal-best scores throughout the day, three on vault, one on uneven bars, four on balance beam and one on floor exercise. 

While the Lions took at least the top three spots on all of the individual events, Brooke Terry captured the top spot on the all-around event with a 37.850.

Terry scored a personal-best on the uneven bars with a 9.650 to place fourth. Terry scored a 9.550 on the balance beam, a 9.550 on the floor exercise and a 9.100 on the vault.

Britney Wolfe finished in a three-way tie for third place on the balance beam, scoring a personal best 9.750. Personal bests were also scored on the beam by Carlie Beatty (9.675), Chloe Beatty (9.550) and Kailyn Westbrook (9.375).

Shadae Boone placed fourth on the vault with a score of 9.800, short of her school record of 9.825. Also scoring career-highs on the vault were Madison Latzke (9.575), Maddie Mullenbach (9.525) and Wolfe (9.525). 

Chloe Beatty scored a personal-best 9.500 on the floor exercise.

Stout scored season-high event scores on the balance beam (47.900) and the floor exercise (47.775). 

The Blue Devils will close out the home season when they host Hamline University, UW-Eau Claire and Winona State University in the John Zuerlein Invitational, Friday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m.
