Blue Devils compete at UW-La Crosse Eagle Open

LA CROSSE (May 13, 2018) - The UW-Stout men's and women's track & field team completed action at the UWL Eagle Open Sunday night at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. No team scores were recorded.

Brent Heilman won the 100-meter dash in a time of 10.90 seconds, then finished third in the 200-meter with a season-best time of 22.04 seconds.

Christian Lucchesi finished second in the pole vault with a season-best height of 16-0.50, finishing ahead of teammate Noah Zastrow on misses. Rpbert Mesenburg and Josh Freyholtz tied for fifth (15-0.75).

Kevin Ruechel was third in the discus (156-3) and set a season-best in the shot put with a fourth place finish (51-11). Spencer Wilhelm was second in the triple jump (43-11.75). Mason Barth was third in the 400-hurdles (57.19).

The 4x400-meter relay team of Lucas Carroll, Cody Lohrenz, Andrew Gilles and Ross Thompson finished first (3:21.74). Thompson was fifth in the 200m (22.08). Walker Olson was fifth in the javelin.

Lydia Meier won the hammer throw (180-1) and Kayla Pabst was third (170-1). Emma Bullard was third in the 200-meter (25.87) and Stephanie Pladies was third in the high jump (5-1.75). Raelin Sorensen was fifth in the high jump (4-11.75) and eighth in the 200m (27.43). Shanna Laehn was fifth in the 200 (26.11). Laehn finished fourth in the 400m (1:05.13).

Davia Clarke was fifth in the 100m (12.67) and Emma Bullard was sixth (12.73).

Earlier in the week (May 10) at the Dr. Keeler Track and Field Meet at North Central College in Naperville, Ill, the Blue Devil women's team had three entrants in the 5000-meter run. Katie Repka finished 31st (18:04.24), Molly Perkins was 43rd (18:57.50) and Alex Ploeger was 65th (20:18.39).
