LA CROSSE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin–Stout men's track and field team had four athletes compete Saturday on the final day of the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, highlighted by Sam Knox earning All-American honors with a fifth-place finish in the pole vault.
Knox secured his first career All-American honor with a personal-best clearance of 5.10 meters (16-8.75). The junior cleared 4.75 meters and 4.90 meters on his second attempts before moving over the 5.00-meter bar on his third attempt. Knox then cleared 5.10 meters on his second try to lock up a podium finish. He made three strong attempts at 5.15 meters but was unable to clear the height.
Braden Krystosek tied for 14th in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.90 meters (16-0.75). He cleared 4.75 meters on his opening attempt and moved over 4.90 meters on his second try before narrowly missing at 5.00 meters.
In the hammer throw, Jesse Fowler placed 17th with a mark of 55.35 meters (181-7).
Matthew Binstock finished 21st in the triple jump with a best mark of 13.90 meters (45-7.25). His top jump came on his opening attempt, followed by marks of 13.66 meters (44-9.75) and 13.77 meters (45-2.25).
