UW-La Crosse Twilight Meet
LA CROSSE (April 24, 2018) - UW-Stout competed at the UW-La Crosse Twilight Meet Tuesday at Veterans Stadium.
Brent Heilman finished second in the preliminaries of the 100-meter dash in collegiate-best time of 11.00-seconds, but then took off a little bit more time to win the event in the finals in a time of 10.79.
Brian Mathews was second in the 1500m (4:29.66)
Josh Freyholtz was third in the pole vault with a height of 15-feet, 8.50-inches, his best pole vault mark since the 2017 WIAC outdoor championship.
Robert Mesenburg was fifth (15-2.75) and
Brenden Buryska seventh (13-3).
The Blue Devils'
Anton Proksch,
Alec Benzinger and
Kevin Ruechel finished second, third and fourth in the shot put. Proksch had a mark of 48-feet, 4.50-inches, Benzinger 46-6.75 and Ruechel 46-0.
On the women's side, the Blue Devils swept the top three spots in the discus and took four of the top five places and six of the top 10 spots. Heidi LIeffort won the event with a toss of 151-10, with
Lydia Meier second (144-10) and
Kayla Pabst third (133-2).
Ash Patterson finished fifth (129-4),
Kami Sawtelle was eighth (119-1) and
Morgan Denton ninth (117-10).
Meier and Pabst finished first and second, respectively, in the hammer throw, with Meier taking a mark of 179-4 and Pabst 159-5. Sawtelle was seventh (132-7) and
Alyson Wilcox eighth (131-3).
Freshman
Emma Wittliff was second in the shot put (39-0.50). Denton was fifth (38-6.25), Sawtelle eighth (36-11),
Demi Ploor ninth (36-9) and
Taylor Baker 10th (36-0.75)
Stephanie Pladies captured the high jump with a mark of 5-4.25.
Raelin Sorensen was third (5-0.25) and
Mariah Lang fourth (4-10.25).
Aryn Benn jumped 37-0.25 to finish second in the triple jump.
Hannah Miller was fourth (34-2.25).
Tymesia McFadden was second in the 200m (25.98), followed by Shannah Laehn in third (26.23).
Emma Bullard was fifth (26.27) and
Clarice Tume ninth (26.52). Laehn finished third in the preliminaries of the 100m (12.77), but did not compete in the finals. Davia Clark was fifth in the prelims (12.75),
