MEMPHIS, Tenn (March 17, 2018) – Just a week after earning an All-American award in the indoor pole vault,
Noah Zastrow set a collegiate-best in the event by taking first in the pole vault at the Rhodes College Track and Field Invitational Saturday.
Zastrow topped out the 28-person field with a leap of 16-feet, 2.75-inches, passing his indoor best by an inch.
The pole vault was very friendly to the Blue Devils in the Memphis sun. On the women's side,
Kristen Teupel finished second with a collegiate-best mark of 10-feet, 11.75-inches, matching the first place mark of Marci Roberts of Alabama-Huntsville. But Teupel had more misses to finish second.
Sierra Coonts was third with a mark of 10-6.
Sam Elsner won the hammer throw (195-11) late Friday night and was fourth in the shot put Saturday (55-7.50).
Tyler Ellefson was second in the mile run in a time of 4-minutes, 24.01-seconds, but was first of all Division III runners.
Stephanie Pladies was third in the high jump (5-1.75).
Lydia Meier was fourth in the discus (143-7).
Stout returns to action Saturday, March 31 when they compete at the UW-River Falls Invitational.

- Josh Freyholtz was 10th in the long jump (21-6). Zastrow was 16th (20-7.25) and Olson was 32nd (19-8).
