The Blue Devils are averaging 69.2 points per game and are giving up 74.2.
  • Elliott was selected as the WIAC athlete of the week after scoring 25 points in a win over UW-River Falls, Feb. 7, and 19 points in a loss to nationally ranked UW-Stevens Point, Feb. 10. Elliott matched a season-high with six 3-pointers and led all scorers with 25 points, matching a career-best, as UW-Stout defeated UW-River Falls on Feb. 7, in Menomonie. In a game where the margin was razor thin throughout the game, Elliott recorded two 3-pointers down the stretch. Elliott was 9-of-14 from the field, connected on a career-high 6-of-9 3-pointers, hit one free throw, pulled down five rebounds, had a career-high six assists and two steals. In a loss at UW-Stevens Point, Feb. 10, Elliott finished with 19 points and had five rebounds and five assists. • Peyton Fulkerson made his first collegiate start Jan. 27 at UW-Platteville, responding with a career-best eight points and five rebounds, playing 23 minutes. Fulkerson has started five games and is averaging 3.6 points and 22 minutes over those five games.  Josh Mericle has also seen considerably more time over the last five games, averaging 4.4 points during that stretch and averaging almost 14 minutes.

  •

  • Isaac Elliott will finish his career with more than 800 points and Sam Ortmann will finish his career with more than 700 points. Going into Saturday's game with UW-Oshkosh, Elliott has 833 points, while Ortmann has 721 points. Elliott has dropped in 387 points this season, while Ortmann has 251 points on the season. Elliott has made 55-of-127 3-pointers this season, good for 13th on the single season list, and has made 130-of-336 in his career, good for 10th. John Keefe, who played just shy of the first two minutes of the season-opening game before an injury ended his season, will wrap up the year with 873 career points, and is 37th on the all-time list. Keefe made 133-of-356 3-pointers and is ninth on the all-time list.

BLUE DEVILS LAST TIME OUT
  • Isaac Elliott scored a career-high 27 points, but it wouldn't be enough to push UW-Stout over UW-La Crosse as the Eagles defeated the Blue Devils, 76-57, Wednesday at Mitchell Hall. Elliott shot 6-of-13 from the floor, 3-of-6 from 3-point range and shot 12-of-12 from the free throw line, tying the school record for free throw percentage. Earlier in the season against UW-Eau Claire, Elliott drained 10-of-10 free throws. Elliott was the only Blue Devil in double digits.
  • The Blue Devils upended UW-River Falls 82-81 Feb. 7 in Menomonie, but lost 80-63 at UW-Stevens Point, Feb. 10
  • UW-Stout came back from a 12-point second half deficit and Adam Mackey hit the game winner with 1.6 seconds remaining as the Blue Devils defeated UW-River Falls Feb. 7 on Dewey Mintz Court in Johnson Fieldhouse. Mackey's bucket was the exclamation point as the Blue Devils came back from 12 points down.
  • UW-Stout's Isaac Elliott scored 12 of his game-high 19 points in the first half, but UW-Stevens Point countered with 14 first half points by Canon O'Heron and the Pointers took a 39-29 halftime lead on their way to an 80-63 win over the Blue Devils Feb. 10 at Quandt Fieldhouse. Stevens Point held the 10 point, 39-29 halftime lead over Stout, then pushed the lead up to 15 points and never let Stout get any closer than 12 points the rest of the game.

ACTIVE DUTY
  • Freshman Joe Duty leads all WIAC freshmen in scoring, averaging 11.0 points per contest Duty has scored at least two points in every game this season and has started the last 22 games. In Duty's first start on Nov. 17, he tossed in 21 points and recorded six rebounds against Marian University.  Duty had a collegiate-high 24 points vs. UW-Oshkosh in January.  Duty is 85-of-185 from the floor (.459), 28-of-72 from 3-point range (.389) and 54-of-68 from the free throw line (.794).
  • Top Scoring Freshmen in the WIAC
    • Joe Duty (Stout) 10.7 ppg
    • Quentin Shields (Platteville) 10.1 ppg
    • Alex Ranney (Platteville) 5.2 ppg
    • Clay Kujawa (Eau Claire) 4.9 ppg
    • Connor Duax (Oshkosh) 4.0 ppg

PERFECTION
  • Isaac Elliott hit 12 of 12 free throws in the Blue Devils' 76-57 loss to UW-La Crosse, Feb. 14, going  6 of 6 in both periods. It was the second time this season Elliott was perfect from the line when he exceeded 10 free throw attempts. Elliott connected on 10 of 10 free throws in the Blue Devils' 65-51 win over UW-Eau Claire, Jan. 17, tying him for the school record in free throw percentage in a single game. Elliott was 4 of 4 in the first half, and 6 of 6 in the second half, including four in the final 1:19 of the game. For the season, Elliott is 74 of 94 (.787). Cal Glover sank all 16 free throw attempts against UW-Superior during the 1970-71 season. Duke Severson was 12 of 12 against Augsburg during the 1959-60 season. Nate Templer hit all 11 of his attempts against UW-La Crosse, Feb. 12, 2003.

RANKED OPPONENTS
  • The Blue Devils have met plenty of ranked opponents this season, with the WIAC supplying five ranked opponents in the Feb. 12 D3Hoops.com Top 25 poll. The surprise team of the season, UW-Platteville is ranked sixth and is tied with UW-Stevens Point for first place in the WIAC. The Pointers are currently ranked 19th. UW-Oshkosh moved up seven spots to 14th. UW-Whitewater and UW-River Falls are receiving votes.

CLEANING THE GLASS
  • When the Blue Devils pulled down 57 rebounds in a 96-86 loss to the University of Puget Sound, Dec. 30, in Spokane, Wash, it was the most rebounds by a Stout team since Nov. 24, 2012, when they yanked down 56 against Northland College in the opening game of the UW-Stout Turkey Shootout. Against Puget Sound, Isaac Elliott recorded a career-best 10 rebounds. Zach Dahl yanked down nine boards, which would have been a career-best but the junior guard had recorded a collegiate-best 11 boards the previous night with 11 caroms. Joe Duty also had a career-best against Puget Sound with eight rebounds.

DOUBLE-DOUBLES
  • Zach Dahl has twice scored a double-double this season. Dahl tossed in 15 points and recorded a career-best 11 rebounds at Whitworth College, Dec. 29. The following night, fellow guard Isaac Elliott recorded his first career double-double, scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds against Puget Sound, Dec. 30. Dahl recorded his second career double-double against UW-Whitewater, Feb. 3, setting career-highs in both points with 20 and rebounds with 12. Dahl also had a career-best five assists in the Whitewater game.
