Blue Devils notch 15 personal bests, defeat Eau Claire

MENOMONIE (January 19, 2018) - Up-and-down the UW-Stout line-up, the Blue Devils notched 15 personal-best scores to score one of the top team scores in school history as Blue Devils downed UW-Eau Claire, 186.575-185.475, Friday at Johnson Fieldhouse in the Blue Devils' home opener.

Stout's tally of 186.575 ranks ninth on the team's all-time list.

The Blue Devils got first place finishes from Mikala Bugge on the vault (9.55), Kenzie Hyde on the floor exercise (9.625) and Brooke Terry in the all-around (37.725). Hyde and Terry's first place finishes were personal bests.

All six performers on the uneven bars scored personal record performances. Sierra Beaver finished second (9.575), Mallary Dick third (9.550), Bugge fifth (9.325), Terry seventh (9.20), Sierra Coonts eight (9.125) and Cassie Ehmann ninth (9.100).

Stout had three personal best performances among their top four finishes on the balance beam. Chelsea Gray was second (9.675), Terry tied a personal best with a third place finish (9.650) and Emma Sirjord was fourth (9.575).

Terry claimed four personal bests, rounding out the evening with a third place finish on the floor exercise (9.575). Terry scored her best performances on the bars, beam, floor and in the all-around.

Maddie Mullenbach (9.250) and Dick (9.025) notched career-bests on the vault.

Stout will host Gustavus Adolphus College, Friday, Jan. 26 at 6 p.m.
