THIS WEEK'S COMPETITION: The Blue Devils will host
Hamline University, Friday, Feb.17 at 6 p.m. in Johnson Fieldhouse. The Blue Devils have not scored lower than 184.300 this season and are currently ranked sixth in the latest NCGA rankings. Friday night will also be Parents Night.
NCGA CHAMPIONSHIP
- UW-Stout will host the 2017 NCGA Championship, Friday, March 31, with the all-around and team competition beginning at 6 p.m. The Championship will conclude Saturday, April 1 with the individual championship beginning at 4 p.m.
- UW-Stout last hosted the national event in 2001.
- FloGymnastics of the FloSports Network will be hosting the live stream for both days of competition. Live broadcast of the full competition will be available on FloGymnastics to all FloPRO subscribers. For $20 monthly or for $150 annually, subscribers will receive premium access to all FloGymnastics live events, documentaries and workout content. Yearly subscribers will also have access to premium content across all FloSports sites.

A LOOK AT THE BLUE DEVILS
- Kaylee Jondahl, Kelly Huseman and Kasondra Tulloch are the Blue Devils' three seniors on a squad that is bottom-heavy with underclassmen. Jondahl is the two-time WIAC defending champion on the floor exercise and won the 2015 NCGA floor exercise title, Huseman won the WIAC balance beam last year and Tulloch holds the school record for the uneven bars.
- The Blue Devils have no juniors listed on their roster, but Kenzie Hyde and Cassie Evans are third year members of the team
- The Blue Devils have six sophomores listed (including Hyde and Evans) and eight freshmen.

LAST TIME OUT:
- Mikala Bugge and Kelly Huseman took top spots as UW-Stout scored their second-highest score of the season in a dual at UW-La Crosse. The Eagles took the dual, 190.200-187.500.
- Bugge and Kaylee Jondahl captured first and second on the vault, with Bugge topping the field with a 9.60. Jondahl was right on Bugge's heels, scoring a 9.575.
- Huseman scored her best score of the season with a first place finish on the balance beam. In posting her best score on the event since the WIAC Championship last season, Huseman scored a 9.650. Huseman was also fourth on the uneven bars (9.50).
- In addition to her runner-up finish on the vault, Jondahl was also second on the floor exercise (9.750) and was third in the all-around (37.325).
- Sierra Beaver was second in the all-around (37.475) with her second-best score of the season, and was fourth on the uneven bars (9.50). Brooke Terry was fourth on the balance beam (9.40). Bugge was fifth on the floor exercise (9.625).

Randi Schorzman was selected as the WIAC gymnastics specialist of the week after hitting a season-high and winning the balance beam at UW-Oshkosh, Feb. 19.
2017 LEADERSHIP TEAM: The Blue Devils have changed from a system of captains to a leadership team, with one gymnast from each class. This year's team includes

UW-STOUT COACH BECKY BEAULIEU:
- Becky Beaulieu is in her 12th season as the Blue Devil coach.
- Under Beaulieu's direction, UW-Stout gymnasts have earned 39 All-American awards and Beaulieu has coached national champions on the balance beam in 2008, the floor exercise in 2009, the uneven bars in 2010, the vault and floor exercise in 2011, and the floor in 2015.
- A UW-Stout gymnast has qualified and competed at the NCAA Division I regional in 2009 at the University of Iowa and in 2010 at the University of Utah.
- Beaulieu, competing as Becky McDonnell at UW-La Crosse from 1997-2001, captured back-to-back NCGA floor exercise titles in 1998 and 1999. She established a since-eclipsed school floor exercise record score of 9.8. A seven-time NCGA All-American, she also garnered all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors nine times. The Eagles, for which she was a two-year captain, won two NCGA titles during her competing days.
- In 2012, Beaulieau was selected to the WIAC All-Time Gymnastics Team as the conference celebrated their 100th anniversary.
- Beaulieu was inducted into the UW-La Crosse Wall of Fame in 2016.
WIAC AND NCGA: The
Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) is made up of eight schools - UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Stout, UW-Whitewater, Hamline University, Gustavus Adolphus College and Winona State University. These eight schools make up the NCGA West Region and are also members of the 14-school
National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA). The six East schools are: SUNY-Brockport, SUNY-Cortland, Ithaca (NY) College, Springfield (Mass) College, Rhode Island College, and Ursinus (Pa) College. Each region holds their own regional meet to determine which teams and individuals will advance to the NCGA Championship. The championship is alternated yearly between the East and the West, with the West hosting the event generally during the odd years.
DOWN THE ROAD: The Blue Devils will be on the road for two weeks following the Hamline meet. Stout will be at Gustavus Adolphus College, Friday, Feb. 24 and at UW-Eau Claire, Friday, March 3.
