Kelly Huseman and
Kaylee Jondahl tied for a first place finish on the vault in a dual at UW-Oshkosh and
Randi Schorzman won the beam with a 9.600 Friday.
But UW-Stout lost to host UW-Oshkosh. The Titans won the meet with a score of 185.600, while the Blue Devils scored a 179.000. Stout edged out Oshkosh on vault, but fell on the other three events.
Stout started on the bars for the first rotation.
Sara Perez had the best performance from the team after posting a 9.325. So far that is Perez's highest score of the season on this event.
Kelly Huseman was just a tenth of a point behind Perez, scoring a 9.250.
Two of the Blue Devils did manage to share the top spot on vault.
Kaylee Jondahl tied with Huseman after they both earned a 9.325. Perez had the next highest scoring performance with a 9.025.
Jondahl stood out for the Blue Devils with her floor performance. She finished third on this event after posting a score of 9.475. Unfortunately the rest of the lineup did not find much success.
On the balance beam,
Randi Schorzman led the pack. She had her highest score of the season with a 9.600 and took home a first place finish.
Callie Counts had a noteworthy performance on this event, and posted a score of 9.475.
Next week UW-Stout travels to Illinois State University in Normal, Ill, to compete Sunday, Feb. 28 for the last meet before WIAC Regionals. The competition will take place at 2 pm.
