Kaylee Jondahl (So, Anoka,Minn) tied the school vault record as the Blue Devils scored their highest team score of the season in a narrow loss to Winona State, 189.025-188.325, Saturday at Johnson Fieldhouse.
All six Blue Devils, paced by Jondahl's record matching score, scored better than a 9.00 on the vault as the team scored a 47.800, topping the previous record of 47.400. Jondahl captured top honors with a personal best score of 9.70, matching the previous mark set by Naomi DeLara in 2011.
Kenzie Hyde (Fr, Sunderland, Ontario) finished third (9.600).
Randi Schorzman (Jr, Buckley, Wash) (9.55) and
Kelly Huseman (So, Tampa, Fla) (9.525) each set personal bests, finishing fifth and sixth, respectively.
Jondahl took top awards on the all-around with a personal best score of 37.825. Jondahl was fifth on the uneven bars with a personal best 9.300, ninth on the balance beam (9.20) and second on the floor exercise (9.625).
Hyde (9.525) finished second on the balance beam with a personal best and
Callie Counts scored a personal best (9.40) on the beam. Schorzman finished fourth on the beam (9.50).
The beam team finished with a score of 46.975, topping the previous mark of 46.875 set last February.
The Blue Devils got three personal best on the floor exercise by
Jordana Brady(Fr, New Brighton, Minn) (9.45),
Tara Zimmerman (Sr, Forest Lake, Minn) (9.40) and
Kourtland Thompson (Fr, Mobile, Ala) (9.40).
Winona State took first place finishes on the uneven bars (Katie Pipp, 9.625), on the beam (Katie Carling, 9.65), and the floor (Brooke Hiestand, 9.775).
Stout will close out the dual season when they travel to UW-Eau Claire, Friday, March 6. Stout will be at the WIAC Championship, Sunday, March 15 at Hamline University.
