MENOMONIE (February 20, 2015) - UW-Stout's women's gymnastics team came in second place in their battle with the UW-Oshkosh Friday night in Johnson Fieldhouse.
Sara Perez (Jr, Tigard, Ore.) took first on the uneven bars with a score of 9.400, and
Kaylee Jondahl (So, Anoka, Minn.) finished second on floor exercise, but this just wasn't enough as the Blue Devils fell to the Titans 183.025-181.450.
Along with Perez's first place finish, she also finished in 12th place on vault (8.700).
Jondahl placed fourth on vault (9.325) eighth on uneven bars (9.000) and eighth on beam (9.000)and took second in the all around with a score of 36.850.
Randi Schorzman (Jr, Buckley, Wash.) was third on the vault with a score of 9.375, but also took fourth place on floor exercise with a score of 9.225.
Kelly Huseman (So, Tampa, Fla.) placed third on beam (9.350) and fought to take fourth place on vault with a score of 9.325. She also tied a personal record to take fifth with 9.225 on the uneven bars.
Kenzie Hyde (Fr, Sunderland, Ont.) edged out Huseman on the uneven bars to take fourth place scoring a 9.250.
Jordana Brady (Fr, New Brighton, Minn.) set a personal record scoring an 8.825 on uneven bars.
The Titans' Krystal Walker took first in both beam (9.500) and floor exercise (9.575), while also taking third on uneven bars (9.275) and captured first place in the all around spot with a score of 37.475.
The Blue Devils will compete again next Friday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m in Johnson Fieldhouse and will take on the Winona State University Warriors.
