ST. PAUL, Minn. (November 16, 2012) - UW-Stout picked up where they left off last year, taking an 82-51 victory from St. Scholastica, Friday night at Bethel University's Perkin's Tip-off. Dating back to last season, Stout has now won four in a row.

Four Blue Devils (1-0) scored at least 14 points, led by Josh Kosloske (Jr, Oakfield), who turned in a career-high 16 points in addition to a game-high 12 rebounds. Kosloske, who had a double-double by halftime, was 8-of-10 from the field and also blocked three St. Scholastica (0-1) shot attempts.

Stout jumped out to a 10-2 lead as Jarvis Ragland (Jr, Milwaukee) and Alex Oman (Jr, Lake Elmo, Minn.) each scored five of the first 10 points. Oman and Ragland finished with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

The Saints gave Stout a scare late in the first half when they cut a 14-point Stout advantage to just six with an 8-0 run lasting two minutes. Stout answered nicely, however, building their lead back to 13 by the break.

The Blue Devils steadily built up their lead in the second half, leading by double digits the rest of the way.

Tomorrow night, Stout will face Simpson College in the tournament championship game, which will start at approximately 8 p.m.
