OSHKOSH — The University of Wisconsin-Stout Polytechnic cross country teams competed at the Titan Fall Classic Friday, with the Blue Devil men placing second in the 8K and the women finishing fifth in the 6K.
MEN'S 8K
UW-Stout placed second in the men's 8K with 49 points, finishing behind Michigan Tech, which won the team title with 26 points. Lawrence placed third with 79 points, followed by Wisconsin-Oshkosh with 90 and Ripon with 127.
Julian Van Antwerp led the Blue Devils with a sixth-place finish in 26:04.4.
John Nehmzow followed in eighth at 26:09.0, while
Colin Hanson finished ninth in 26:10.0.
Mason Aide placed 11th in 26:15.5, and
Alexander Burmeister rounded out Stout's scoring five with a 15th-place finish in 26:21.5.
Nick Stitzer finished 20th in 26:28.4, followed by
Niko Dayment in 25th at 26:42.1. Joe Huber placed 27th in 26:42.2, with
Jack Kirman 31st in 26:56.9 and
Alex Chartrand 32nd in 26:57.0.
Dalton Anderson finished 35th in 27:06.8, followed by
Peter Cimino in 49th at 27:20.4.
Blake Patterson placed 57th in 27:28.1,
Westin Fisher 61st in 27:38.3,
Henry Cronk 62nd in 27:39.4,
Walter Strait 78th in 28:06.4,
Connor Davidson 80th in 28:15.0,
Kyle Newton 82nd in 28:24.3 and
Cole Remiger 97th in 29:05.8.
WOMEN'S 6K
The Blue Devil women finished fifth in the 6K with 110 points. Michigan Tech won the team title with 26 points, followed by Wisconsin-Oshkosh with 58, Ripon with 78 and Lawrence with 101.
Claudia Lasiowski paced UW-Stout with a sixth-place finish in 22:25.4.
Madi Gilbert placed 25th in 23:54.2, while
Cora Sadlack finished 30th in 24:09.4.
Hanna Martensen was 33rd in 24:21.2, followed by
Shayla Hill in 37th at 24:45.2.
Teagan McGinty placed 41st in 24:58.6, and
Jorie Anderson finished 46th in 25:13.9.
Addie Christopherson placed 49th in 25:23.5, followed by
Kyah Barnhart in 59th at 26:06.3,
Madison Wegand in 61st at 26:12.5,
Erika English in 62nd at 26:16.2,
Carys Gudahl in 68th at 26:53.7,
Clare Yunk in 74th at 27:17.9 and
Molly Twitchell in 82nd at 30:24.0.

The Blue Devils will travel to Northfield, Minn., Saturday, Oct. 3, for The Running of the Cows (NCAA Division III Championship Preview) at the Bill Huyck Championship Course. The women's race is scheduled for 11 a.m., followed by the men's race at 1 p.m.
