MENOMONIE – UW-Stout's
Emma Barton has been invited to take part in the USA D-3 Women's Volleyball Team, which will compete internationally during the One World Outreach/Brazil Tour 2026.
The tour, organized by USA Sports Tours & Events, brings together NCAA Division III women's volleyball players from across the country who have earned recognition at the national, regional and conference levels. Barton was selected to play on the Blue Team which features 10 players from seven colleges and universities across five states.
Barton, a junior middle from Stevens Point, Wis., earned All-WIAC Honorable Mention recognition in 2025. She averaged 2.72 points per set, 1.92 kills per set, and totaled 76 blocks and 25 aces. She recorded a career-high 16 kills (.545 hitting percentage) and nine blocks in Stout's win over No. 8 UW-Whitewater. Barton posted double-digit kills five times, including a 14-kill (.444 hitting percentage) performance against UW-La Crosse.
"This is an outstanding group of young women," said Ron Smith of USA Sports Tours & Events. "Many of the players on this year's USA D-3 Volleyball Team – Brazil Tour had great individual seasons and led their teams into postseason play. This tour is designed to expose players to a great international volleyball experience while providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for educational, cultural and social growth."
The international tour will run June 22 through July 1, beginning with team orientation in Orlando, Florida, before traveling to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The USA teams will compete in doubleheaders at Brazilian clubs, including Marina Barra Clube and TC Tijuca, and will take part in an International Challenge on Saturday, June 27, with each team playing two matches in Rio.
In addition to competition, the teams will participate in a youth volleyball clinic at Marina Barra Clube, hosted by Ripper Vôlei, as part of a social outreach initiative. The tour also includes significant cultural and educational opportunities. While in Rio de Janeiro, the teams will stay on Copacabana Beach, the site of the 2016 Olympic Beach Volleyball competition, and will tour internationally recognized landmarks such as the Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugar Loaf Mountain. Visits to Ipanema Beach and the city's international market are also scheduled.
