LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stout track & field teams had several strong performances at the UW-La Crosse Indoor Final Qualifier on Saturday, March 8, as athletes looked to improve marks ahead of the NCAA Championships.
Women's Highlights
- Hannah Zastrow led the way in the 60-meter hurdles, winning the event with a time of 8.64 seconds, securing an impressive victory.
- Kaylie Raths joined Zastrow in the hurdles final, finishing fourth in 8.93 seconds.
- Zastrow also had a standout performance in the high jump, clearing 1.64 meters (5-4.5) to place third.
- In the long jump, Jenna Driscoll finished first, leaping 5.67 meters (18-7.25) to edge out her competition.
- Leah Zastrow shined in the pole vault, clearing 3.85 meters (12-7.5) to earn second place.
- Lincoln Wellsmith had a strong showing in the shot put, placing third with a throw of 13.21 meters (43-4.25).
- Aubree Koenings finished fifth in the weight throw with a best mark of 15.60 meters (51-2.25).
Men's Highlights
- Kaden Martin qualified for the 60-meter hurdles final, where he finished sixth with a time of 8.20 seconds.
- Jack Roeber placed fourth in the triple jump, recording a mark of 14.27 meters (46-10). He also finished eighth in the long jump at 6.83 meters (22-5).
- Sam Knox had a strong performance in the pole vault, finishing third by clearing 4.92 meters (16-1.75).
- Lawson Davis recorded a mark of 1.93 meters (6-4) in the high jump, securing a seventh-place finish.
- Joey Lanoux placed ninth in the shot put with a throw of 14.76 meters (48-5.25).
- Maverick Metzger finished eighth in the weight throw, posting a best mark of 16.33 meters (53-7).
With these performances, several Blue Devils improved their national rankings, and those securing qualifying marks will await official selections for the upcoming NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.
