Blue Devil Women's Basketball to Host NCAA Tournament First Round

MENOMONIE- The UW-Stout women's basketball will host the first and second rounds of the 2025 DIII Women's Basketball Championship on Friday and Saturday, March 7 & 8 in the Johnson Fieldhouse.

The 2025 DIII women's Basketball Championship bracket was revealed Monday afternoon, and the Blue Devils will host Ripon College in the first round Friday night March 7, at 7:15 p.m.
Whitman College will play UW-Superior at 4:45 p.m.

Stout has qualified for the NCAA National Tournament for the second straight season after advancing to the Sweet 16 a year ago.  
This is the sixth meeting between Stout and Ripon and first since Dec. 29, 2022.

The winner of the Blue Devils-Ripon game, game will play the winner of the Whitman-UW-Superior game on Saturday, March 7:15 at p.m.

The 64-team, single-elimination tournament consists of 43 automatic qualifiers and 21 at-large bids.

Here is the schedule for the 2025 DIII women's basketball championship (subject to change)
  • First-and-second round games will be played on March 7-8 from 16 on-campus sites
  • The sectional rounds will be played on March 14-15 from four on-campus sites
  • The semifinals and championship will be held at the Cregger Center in Salem, Virginia, on March 20 and 22.
