MENOMONIE – University of Wisconsin–Stout head women's basketball coach
Sam Clayton has announced the addition of
Bridget Froehlke as an assistant coach for the Blue Devils women's basketball program.
Froehlke joins the Blue Devils after a four-year collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh.
"I'm really excited to add Bridget to our coaching staff," head coach
Sam Clayton said. "She has a love for the game and a desire to make an impact on people's lives through basketball. She believes in the value of relationships and knows what it takes to build and sustain a championship culture both on and off the floor."
During her four seasons with the Titans, Froehlke helped UW-Oshkosh capture three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) regular season championships and make back-to-back appearances in the NCAA Division III Final Four in 2025 and 2026.
A native of Wrightstown, Wis., Froehlke appeared in 75 career games for the Titans, averaging 18.8 minutes per contest while shooting 36.6 percent from the field. She finished her career with 499 points, 121 rebounds and 88 assists.
Froehlke earned All-WIAC Honorable Mention honors during the 2023-24 season and was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team in 2022-23.
Her accomplishments extended beyond the court as well. Froehlke was recognized as a 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, earned WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll recognition three times and was a six-time member of the UW-Oshkosh Dean's List. She received the Elite Scholar-Athlete Award at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.
Froehlke begins her coaching career with the Blue Devils after helping lead one of the nation's top Division III programs and brings recent playing experience, championship pedigree and academic excellence to the UW-Stout sidelines.
