OSHKOSH, Wis. -
Claudia Lasiowski led the UW-Stout Blue Devils women's cross country team with an outstanding performance at the 2025 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Cross Country Championship, hosted by UW-Oshkosh at the XC Ranch on Saturday, November 1.
Lasiowski secured a sixth-place finish in the 6-kilometer race, crossing the line in a time of 21 minutes, 43.61 seconds earning her All-WIAC First Team honors.
As a team, the Blue Devils finished seventh overall in the highly competitive field, totaling 178 points. The team recorded a total time of 1:55:19.51 with an average time of 23:03.91 across the scoring five runners.
Following Lasiowski, UW-Stout saw solid performances from its pack.
Arlie Kapaun was the second Blue Devil to finish, placing 39th overall with a time of 23:01.03.
Alexys Smith was close behind, taking 45th in 23:12.91.
Rounding out the scoring runners for Stout were
Bryanna Hoffman (62nd, 23:37.24) and
Charli Oeltjen (67th, 23:44.72).
UW-La Crosse claimed the team title with a score of 21 points, while Molly Heidorn of UW-Eau Claire was the individual champion, finishing in 21:18.30.
On the men's side,
Julian Van Antwerp paced the Blue Devils with a 25th-place finish (25:00.35), helping UW-Stout to eighth place overall.
Mason Aide (41st, 25:20.50),
Alex Chartrand (60th, 25:39.19),
John Nehmzow (62nd, 25:42.49), and
Niko Dayment (69th, 25:54.73) completed the scoring for Stout.
As a team, the Blue Devils finished the 8K race eighth overall totaling 211 points. The team recorded a total time of 2:07.37 with an average time of 25:31 across the scoring five.

The Blue Devils will next compete at the NCAA North Regionals on Saturday, Nov. 15 in Colfax, Wis. at Whitetail golf course.
