PLATTEVILLE, Wis. and ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - The UW-Stout men's and women's track & field teams competed at two meets this weekend. This distance runners ran at the UW-Platteville Invite and the rest of the team competed at the
Bethel Invitational.
Makayla Durango took fourth in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 12.56 seconds, just a fraction of a second behind was
Esme Irel, who placed eighth with a time of 12.59.
Irel placed fourth in the 200 meters with a 25.89 second run.
Corrina Tvedt placed third in the women's 400-meters with a time of 59.75 seconds.
Hailey Krueger was just behind in fourth with a time of 59.84 seconds.
Hannah Zastrow placed second in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.43 seconds.
Lilly Roberts took third (15.22) and Becca Hansen was fourth (15.41).
Kaden Martin placed fifth in the men's 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.78 seconds.
Thomas Casey took sixth with a 15.15. Casey's time of 14.80 in the prelims is good for 34th in the nation.
Brekkyn Lammert placed fifth in the women's 800-meters with a time of 2:17.48 seconds.
Mckayla Felton placed 16th in the women's 5000-meters at the UWP Invite, breaking 17 minutes with a time of 16:59.87, a time that is the 19th fastest in the nation.
Matt Thomas led the Stout men in the 5000-meters at the
Platteville Invite with a 13th place finish in a time of 14:24.47, which currently ranked 29th in the nation.
Nate Karau and
Aubree Koenings set meet records in the discus throw. Karau set the men's record with a 48.66-meter throw, which is 23rd in the nation.
Koenings record throw of 40.75 meters is currently 49th in the nation.
Koenings also set a meet record in the women's hammer throw with a throw of 50.24 meters.
Connor Walechka set a meet and stadium record in the men's weight throw with a throw of 56.11 meters. the 20th best throw in the nation this year.
Jesse Fowler placed second with a 51.11-meter toss and Karau was 6th with a mark of 48.08 meters.
Matthew Binstock set a stadium mark in the men's high jump with a mark of 1.93 meters to win the event.
Hannah Zastrow set both meet and stadium marks in her win in the women's high jump with a height of 1.65 meters (13th in the nation).
Claire Michaelson was third with a mark of 1.50 meters.
Charlie Maier placed sixth in the javelin with a 49.68-meter throw at the UWP Invite. At the
Bethel Invite,
Braden Krystosek placed third with a throw of 45.67 meters.
Sloan Horgan placed fifth in the women's javelin with a throw of 29.83 meters.
Kyle Christian Abdon placed fourth in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.37 meters.
Jenna Driscoll placed second in the women's long jump with a stadium and meet record 5.48-meter jump to put her 33rd in the nation.
Krystosek placed third in the pole vault with a vault of 4.68 meters, which places him 26th in the nation.
Bridgette Allen placed fifth in the pole
vault with a vault of 3.01 meters.
Matthew
Binstock took sixth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 12.85 meters and
Ashtyn Gagner was seventh with a mark of 10.68 meters.

The Blue Devils will compete next weekend in La Crosse, Wis. at the Phil
Esten Challenge on Friday April 19 and Saturday April 20 at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on the UW-La Crosse campus.
