Hannah Zastrow, Connor Walechka Place Second at NCAA Indoor Nationals

Zastrow runs to second place finish in 60 meter Hurdles, Walechka runner up in weight throw

VIRGINIA BEACH - The Blue Devil track and field team had three individuals earn All-American honors at the at the NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field Championships over the weekend. Hannah Zastrow and Connor Walechka both finished as national runner-ups and Leah Zastrow placed fourth in the pole vault. 

Connor Walechka threw a personal best 21.09 meters (69' 2.5") on his third attempt in the weight throw to finish in second place. Three of his six throws traveled over 20 meters. 

Hannah Zastrow ran a 8.56 in the prelims of the 60-meter hurdles to win her heat. She then ran a 8.53 in the finals to race to a second place finish. 

She also competed in the women's high jump,w where she finished 11th with a mark of 1.63 meters. 

Leah Zastrow placed fourth in the women's pole vault with vault of 3.82 meters (12' 6.35").

Jenna Driscoll placed 11th in the women's long jump with a leap of 5.50 meters (18' 0.5"). 

Mckayla Felton finished 19th in the women's 3000-meter run with a time of 10:01.97. 

Karter Rashke placed 14th in the men's shot put with mark of 16.32 meters (53' 6.5").
