Raegan Sorensen was named 2024-25 D3hoops.com Women's Basketball Preseason Second-Team All-American.
Sorensen, a senior from Centuria, Wis., led the Blue Devils to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA DIII Women's Basketball Tournament for the first time since the 2006 season.
In 2023-24 she was selected as a D3hoops.com Third-Team All-American, the first first Blue Devil to receive All-American Status since Julia Hirssig in 2010. She was also named to the Region 9 All-Region team, received All-WIAC honors and was selected to the WIAC All-Defensive team.
She led the Blue Devils in scoring with 18.5 points a game, averaged 8.5 rebounds a game for a total of 262, and shot 52.6 percent from the field. All were good for second in the WIAC. She totaled 56 assists and 62 steals. She led the WIAC with 16 double-doubles on the season. She scored in double figures in all but two games and totaled over 20 points 12 times with a season high of 35 at Eau Claire.
The Blue Devils open the season on Nov. 8-9 with a pair of games at the St. Norbert Tournament in De Pere, Wis. Stout will play Calvin University on Friday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m. and St. Scholastica on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m.
