RIVER FALLS - The UW-Stout baseball team dropped a pair fo WIAC games to No. 20 UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon at First National Bank of River Falls Field. Falling 14-7 in the first game and in 12-8 game two.
GAME 1
A seven-run seventh inning lifted the Titans to a 14-7 win over the Blue Devils. Stout led 6-4 heading into the top of the seventh, before Oshkosh unleashed seven runs on eight hits to break the game open. Oshkosh took and early three run lead in the top of the first.
Jacoby Endreas got Stout on board with an RBI double in the bottom of the inning. Luke Wilson hit an RBI single in the bottom of the second to trim the lead to 3-2. In the third Leyton Bowers worked an bases loaded walk to tie the game and Stout added two more on a two-run error by the left fielder.
Riley Boushack homered in the sixth to give stout the 6-4 lead before the fateful seventh. Oshkosh added three more in the eighth to led 14-6.
Colin Hageman hit a solo homerun the bottom of the inning but Stout couldn't get anything else going to complete the comeback.Â
Parker Hagebock led the Blue Devils with three hits and two runs scored. Endreas, Hageman and Wilson each had two hits for Stout.
GAME 2
The Titans used a seven-run second and added four in the later innings to hold on for a 12-8 win to sweep the double-header.
Jacoby Endreas and Jack Schripke drove in runs in the bottom fo the first to give Stout an early 2-0 lead. Oshkosh scored seven runs in the top of the second off of four hits and four walks. The Blue Devils chipped away at the lead, adding one in the third and two in the fourth to cut the Oshkosh advantage to 7-5. The Titans extended the lead to 10-5 in the eighth. Stout loaded the bases in the bottom half of the inning, and brought them around to score on a sac fly, RBI single and ground out to again cut the lead to two at 10-8. But that was as close as Stout would get as UWO added two in the top of the ninth to secure the win. Schripke,

UP NEXT
The Blue Devils will play UW-Eau Claire on Tuesday, April 18 in a doubleheader at Carson Park. The first game is set to start at 12 p.m.
