LA CROSSE - The Blue Devil baseball team dropped a pair of games at UW-La Crosse Sunday afternoon. falling, 9-1 and 5-2
Stout fell 9-1 in game one, The Blue Devils scattered six hits against the Eagles.
Riley Boushack went 2-3 with an RBI single in the fifth. Logan Pye was 5-5 for the Eagles with 2 RBI and two runs scored.Â
In game two, the Eagles topped Stout 5-2. UWL took the lead in the bottom of the second.
Parker Hagebock responded in the top of the third, driving in two with and RBI single. The Eagles then retook the lead for good in the bottom half with a solo home run and tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the eighth. Boushack and Harke had the other two hits for Stout.
Drew Buss pitched seven innings and struck out six in the loss.Â
The Blue Devils will be back in action next Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2 when they take on UW-Eau Claire in a pair of double headers. The games are set to start at 12 and 3 p.m. each day at Carson Park.Â
