Hailey Kane was named All-WIAC and
Hannah Hagman received honorable mention recognition today the league office announced.
Kane, a junior from Green Bay, Wis., was named first-team All WIAC. After playing at defense all season, Kane made a position change and played on attack the last four matches of the season.She made an immediate impact scoring six goals on 10 shots on target. She recorded her first career hat-trick in a 4-2 road win over UW-Whitewater on Oct. 21. She was instrumental in all four goals, with three goals and an assist on four shots on goal to lift the Blue Devils to their first win over UW-Whitewater since 2011. She scored UW-Stout's lone goal against No. 11-ranked UW-La Crosse on Oct. 18 (just the sixth goal UW-La Crosse has conceded all season). Kane then scored two goals against Superior to help the Blue Devil rally from a two goal deficit to win 3-2.
Hagman, a sophomore from Farmington, Minn., was the Blue Devils best defender all season. She was named WIAC defender of the week when she scored the game-winning goal against Nebraska Wesleyan and helped Stout to two shut out victories over the weekend. She was the first Blue Devil to win the weekly award since the 2018 season.
