Blue Devils, Saints Battle to 2-2 Draw

DULUTH, Minn. (October 28, 2025) – The UW-Stout women's soccer team settled for a 2-2 draw on the road against St. Scholastica on Tuesday afternoon at Kenny Harkins Field. The Blue Devils controlled much of the match, outshooting the Saints 24-11, but a late Saints goal drew CSS even.

St. Scholastica struck in the opening minute, capitalizing on a quick attack that resulted in a goal from Anna Manion just 26 seconds into the match.

Stout responded quickly. In the 4th minute, Mckenna Long buried the equalizer to pull the Blue Devils even. Kayla White continued the momentum in the 19th minute, finishing a chance to give Stout a 2-1 advantage heading into halftime.

The Blue Devils generated multiple opportunities to extend the lead—placing 14 shots on target—but Saints goalkeeper Sophia Seals kept her team within reach with 12 saves.

In the 74th minute, St. Scholastica found the leveling goal from Peyton Mathiasen, tying the match at 2-2. Stout nearly reclaimed the lead late as Anna Odisho drew a penalty kick in the 86th minute, but Seals came up with another key stop.

Claire Olson recorded four saves in goal for Stout. White led the attacking efforts with five shots, including four on frame, while Long, Stauner, and Odisho also applied strong pressure throughout the match.

With the draw, the Blue Devils move to 7-8-4 and will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 1 when they travel to Platteville, Wis. for a 1 p.m. match with the Pioneers.
