Gustavus Adolphus Drake Alternative
ST. PETER, Minn. (April 30, 2022) - UW-Stout's
Demi Ploor won the hammer throw at the Gustavus Adolphus Drake Alternative by more than 15 feet and
Emily Cunningham ran her first collegiate outdoor race and finished second behind an unattached runner Saturday.
Ploor threw the hammer on a wet day day an even 164-feet, far outpacing the second place mark of 148-9. Ploor also finished third in the shot put (40-2.75).Â
Cunningham, who placed third at the 2022Â WIAC indoor championship in the 3000-meter, made her outdoor debut in the 1500-meter, finishing second of 28 runners with a time of 4:49.00, a time that landed on the UW-Stout all-time top-10 board.Â
The 4x100-meter relay team of
Jenna Driscoll,
LaRissa Block,
Raegan Sorensen and
Kaylie Raths won the event in a time of 50:42.Â
Mackenzie Huber placed second in the shot put (41-0.25) and third in the hammer (136-2).
Hannah Zastrow was second in the 100-hurdles (14.60). Zastrow placed fourth in the 100-meter with a time of 13.06, but set a faster time in the preliminaries (13.03).Â
Hannah Miller was third in the javelin (102-1). Raegan Soresen was third in the pole vault (11-3).Â
Jenna Driscoll was fourth in the long jump (15-2.25).Â
The Blue Devils will compete at the 2022 WIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship, Friday, May 6, and Saturday, May 7, at UW-La Crosse.
