ST. PAUL, Minn. (April 2, 2022) - UW-Stout's men's and women's track and field teams opened the northern portion of the outdoor season by competing at the Hamline University University at Klas Field.Â

Jack Roeber and the 4x100-relay team of Martin,
Mackenson Steinberg,
Caleb Green and
Hayden Wagner had first place finishes.Â
Pfrimmer was first in the 1500-meter run in a time of 4-minutes, 0.94-seconds. Backes won the pole vault with a height of 15-feet, 3-inches. Martin won the 110-hurdles in a time of 14.91, Roeber won the long jump with a leap of 22-5.75. The relay team finished in 43.20-seconds.Â
Noah Beck was fourth in the 110-hurdles (15.63) and
Hayden Wagner was fifth (15.63).
Jakes Asembo was fifth in the long jump (21-3.50).Â
Logan Garski was third in the shot put (45-3) and fourth in the hammer throw (162-5). Anthony Kuehl was fourth in the discus (141-0) and
Nate Karau fifth (135-6). Mitchell Koeckeritz was fifth in the javelin (162-1).
In the debut edition of the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index for the 2022 season posted on the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) website, the Blue Devil men were ranked 11th nationally and first in the North Region. The women's team was ranked 21st nationally and second in the North Region.Â
The Blue Devils will be at the Ashton May Invitational at UW-La Crosse, Saturday, April 9.Â
