2021-22 Women's Basketball WIAC/Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week

Raegan Sorensen was selected as the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC)/Kwik Trip Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the second time this season after averaging more than 20 points over three games from Dec. 21-Jan. 2.
Sorensen threatened the school individual game scoring record when she pumped in 36 points – three short of tying the record - in an 89-74 win over Aurora University (Ill.) on Dec. 28. Sorensen was 11 of 14 from the field with a 3-pointer and 13 of 18 from the free throw line. She checked off her second double-double of the season with 11 rebounds. She contributed two assists, one blocked shot and one steal with no turnovers in 28 minutes off the bench.
In two other games, Sorensen scored 12 points in a 73-67 loss to Finlandia University (Mich.) on Dec. 21, and 13 points in a 69-53 loss to Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.). Over three games, Sorensen averaged 20.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocked shots.
Sorensen is currently averaging 11.7 points per game and is shooting 52.7 percent (48-91) from the floor. Sorensen is currently fifth on the team in assists (1.6), first in blocked shots with seven and first in steals with 22.Â
