MENOMONIE (January 29, 2022) - UW-Stout captured three first place finishes at the Warren Bowlus Open Saturday at the UW-Stout Sports and Fitness Center.
The Blue Devils captured first place finishes from
Noah Beck in the 60-hurdles with a personal-best time of 8.59 seconds;
Simon Lual in the triple jump (42-feet, 11.75), and
Jacob Bugella in the weight throw (59-5.75).
Owen Jelinek was second in the 400-meter with a time of 52.16,.
Keegan Pulchinski was fuorth (52.94) and
Dylan Edland was eighth (54.15).
Grant Magnuson was second in the 800-meter (1:57.37),
Lance Pfrimmer was eighth (2:01.58) and
Casey DeBoth was ninth (2:06.46).Â
Cade Hanson was second in the mile (4:40.10).Â
The Blue Devils entered 17 runners in the 3000-meter withÂ
Matthew Ryan second (8:33.27), 4.
Spencer Schultz fourth (8:37.79) andÂ
Cale Bishop ninth (8:55.74).
Carter Wente was third in the 60-hurdles (8.64) and fourth in the 200 (23.13).
Mackenson Steinberg was fourth in the 60 (7.18) and eighth in the 200 (23.67).Â
Jelinek, Pulchinski, Magnuson and
Logan Muffick placed second in the 4x400-relay.
Noah Zastrow returned as an alumnus and won the pole vault (16-5).
Jacob Backes was third (14-10) and
Michael Volz was fourth (14-4).Â
Bobby Vang was third in the long jump (20-11.75),
Adam Szepieniec was fifth (19-4) and Fran Ochtrup-Dekeyrel was fifth (18-11.75).Â
Jakes Asembo was third in the triple jump (42-7).Â
Kevin Ruechel placed second in the shot put (55-0) to unattached Roger Steen (63-3.50), a former NCAA Division III national champion who also competed in the Olympic Trials. Ruechel was fifth in the weight throw (51-4.25).Â
Mason Barth was ffith in the heptathlon (4408 points) and
Hayden Zachgo was seventh (4142).Â
Stout hits the road next weekend when they compete in the UW-River Falls Winter Classic, Saturday, Feb. 5.
