2021-22 WIAC/Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week
MENOMONIE (December 21, 2021) - UW-Stout's
Raegan Sorensen has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 13 - 19.
Sorensen (Fr., G, Centuria, Wis./Unity) tallied her first collegiate double-double, scoring a game-best 25 points and added 10 rebounds in a 76-63 win at Bethany Lutheran College (Minn.) on Dec. 18. UW-Stout trailed at halftime and Sorensen, who scored five first half points, helped lead Stout's charge. With a basket off a steal, she tied the game at 43 late in the third period and scored 20 points in the second half, 14 in the fourth quarter as UW-Stout ran out to the 13-point win. Sorensen was 10 of 17 from the field, 3 of 4 from 3-point range and 2 of 3 from the line. She completed her all-around game with five assists and three steals. For the season, Sorensen is averaging 8.8 points and 4.0 rebounds.
