UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge
OSHKOSH (February 22, 2020) - With the 2020 WIAC Indoor Track and Field Championship scheduled for UW-Oshkosh next weekend, UW-Stout competed in the UW-Oshkosh Titan Challenge this week to familarize themselves with the surroundings Saturday at Kolf Sports Center, competing against 11 other teams.
Brent Heilman and
Kevin Ruechel earned first place finishes.
Heilman took first in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.22-seconds. Heilman also took a fifth place finish in the 60-meter dash (7.02).Â
Ruechel led three Blue Devils to top 10 finishes in the shot put, winning the 56-contestant field with a toss of 56-feet, 3.75-inches.
Alec Benzinger was seventh (50-11.50) and
Max Johnson was ninth (49-5.75).Â
Brian Mathews was second in the 3000-meter run (8:43.86).
Matthew Ryan was sixth (8:53.65) and
Ian Williams was seventh (8:54.02).Â
Noah Zastrow was second in the pole vault (15-8.25) and Jacob Watkins was ninth (14-2.50).Â
Parker Rongstad was fourth in the 60-hurdles (8.56). Daniel Nejsa placed fifth in the triple jump (43-9).Â
Cody Lohrenz was sixth in the 400m (50.98).
Bobby Vang was sixth in the long jump (21-6.75) and Zastrow was eighth (21-4.25).Â
Jimmy Hinkley was ninth in the weight throw (50-8.25).Â
