Blue Devil men's basketball adds two to staff


MENOMONIE (November 19, 2020) - Cole Schreiner and Kevin White join the UW-Stout men's basketball staff beginning with the 2020-21 season, Schreiner as an assistant coach and White as a recruiting coordinator.

Cole Schreiner begins this first year with the Blue Devils for the 2020-21 season, but brings a wealth of experience to the Blue Devils.

A four-year player at UW-Superior, Schreiner knows about the level of talent in the rugged WIAC. Since then, Schreiner has coached at the high school level. Schreiner began his collegiate coaching career at Judson University and was an assistant coach at Northland College for three years. While at Northland, Schreiner was also the men's and women's head golf coach.

Kevin White begins his first year with the UW-Stout men's basketball program in the 2020-21 season and will serve as the team's Midwest recruiting coordinator.

White was an assistant coach at Kalamazoo College in Michigan from 2014-2020 and also was on the K-Zoo coaching staff from 2000-03. White has 16 years of coaching experience including conference championships while coaching at Glen Oaks Community College, Albion College and Kalamazoo Central High School. White was a Five Star Basketball Camp counselor for six years and is the co-founder of the Camp Darryl Basketball Academy. His experience also includes head coach of the Adidas travel team Grand Rapids Storm and was two years the varsity head coach at Kalamazoo Hackett High School.

White was the recruiting coordinator for Kalamazoo College and was in charge of team scheduling. White is a graduate of Western Michigan University. He also has an associate's degree from Glen Oaks and currently works for Parchment Public Schools as the director of student engagement. White resides in Kalamazoo, Mich., with his wife, Kathleen, and son, Vincent.
