THIS WEEK'S GAMES:  UW-Stout (20-15, 12-12 WIAC) will compete in the WIAC Baseball Championship for the first time since the 2014 season. The WIAC Championship is May 10-11 at UW-Whitewater, the top-seeded team. Stout earns the fourth seed and will play 13th-ranked UW-Whitewater (31-9, 21-3 WIAC) at 1 p.m. Friday, May 10. The Blue Devils bring a six-game winning streak into the tournament and have won seven of their last eight games. Stout's 20 wins is the most since the 2014 season when the Blue Devils finished 20-21. Stout is assured of their first .500 season since the 2007 season when the team finished 23-19 overall and 13-11 in the WIAC. The 12 WIAC wins this season are the most since the 2007 season. Stout was eliminated from the tournament in the next game, 13-3, by UW-Stevens Point. Stout also played in the championship in 2007 and 1999. This is the first time in tournament history that either UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stevens Point did not advance to the tournament.
