- The Blue Devils have not tallied at least 18 wins in a single season since the 2006-07 season when the program went 23-6. The 2004-05 team went a school record 24-7. The last time Stout won seven conference games was during the 2013-14 season. During a 16-game conference schedule, Stout went 7-9.
- While the Blue Devils saw their winning streak stop at 10 games in the end of December, they are still off to one of the best starts in school history. The 1995-96 team season opened the year at 9-0. Stout's best record to start the season was 13-0 to open the 1992-93 season. THE COACHES:
UW-STOUT:
- Hannah Iverson (18-8) is in her first year as the head coach of the Blue Devils.
- Prior to becoming the Blue Devils' head coach, Iverson was the director of player development for women's basketball at NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay, a position she began in October, 2016. As well as working directly with the team, Iverson managed the program's operating budget, coordinated team travel, co-directed summer camps and clinics and handled all aspects of team film. She assisted in the set-up of on-campus recruiting and coordinating official and unofficial visits for potential recruits. Iverson held a similar position - director of basketball operations - at the University of Illinois from 2014-16.
- Iverson spent two years at NAIA member Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa, as an assistant women's basketball coach for the 2012-14 school years. Iverson was in charge of guard development in a season where she helped the Saints to the 2014 Association of Independent Institutions tournament championship, earning Ashford a berth in the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Championship tournament, the first conference title and appearance in the NAIA D-II tournament in Saints history.
- A member of the UW-Green Bay women's basketball team from 2008-12, playing as Hannah Quilling, Iverson finished her career in the top 10 for games played as the Phoenix posted a 122-13 record over her four years. The team was 68-4 in Horizon League play and advanced to the NCAA Division I tournament four times, including one trip to the Sweet 16. Fischer, who owns a 161-36 record in his seven years at UW-Oshkosh, has guided the Titans to the NCAA Division III Championship four of the past five seasons. Under Fischer's guidance UW-Oshkosh was one of eight Division III women's programs to win at least one game at each of the four NCAA postseasons between 2014-17 as the Titans reached the third round in 2014 and 2017 and advanced to the second round in 2015 and 2016. Fischer earned 2014 Central Region Coach of the Year honors from D3hoops.com as well as WIAC Coach of the Year plaudits in 2013 and 2017. Fischer helped UW-Oshkosh win the 2017 WIAC regular season title in addition to three consecutive league tournament championships from 2014-16.
