Stout eventually built up a 12 point lead when Amber Fabeck hit a lay-up and followed that up with four free throws. Diersen scored a team-high 27 points, one point short of her career-best, and matched a career-best eight rebounds. Diedrich contributed 20 points. Fabeck scored 14 points and Liz Oswald 10. Hallee Hoeppner scored 36 points for the Blugolds and had 12 rebounds. Kelsey Bakken had 11 points. | Game Story and Statistics
- UW-Stout held a 44-26 halftime lead, but UW-River Falls held Stout scoreless for the first six minutes of the third quarter, then cut Stout's lead to four points, 48-44, with 1:31 left in the period, but the Blue Devils hung on for a 12-point 76-64 win over the Falcons Wednesday on Dewey Mintz Court in Johnson Fieldhouse. River Falls (7-9, 1-4 WIAC) forced seven Stout turnovers in the third quarter and outscored Stout, 18-10, in the period. The Falcons' Jenna Zeman hit two 3-pointers in the third period, but Stout's Liz Oswald hit three 3-pointer in the final four minutes of the third to hold off the Falcon charge and Stout (13-3, 3-2 WIAC) ran up a 54-44 lead heading into the fourth. The Falcons would get the score to as close as six points three minutes into the fourth quarter. The Falcons' Crystal Pearson scored 10 points in the fourth and Stout's Oswald and Kyncaide Diedricheach added seven final period points and Shannan Watkins added six points. The first half belonged to the Blue Devils as Stout came out of the gates to jump to a 27-11 first quarter lead and held as much as a 19 point lead early in the second quarter.
