2018 WIAC Tennis Championship
MADISON (October 21, 2018) - The fall tennis season closed as UW-Stout finished sixth at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Tennis Championship Sunday at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the University of Wisconsin campus.
Gabe Kelch took a fourth place finish at No. 4 singles, and was also named to the All-Sportsmanshipt team
Linsey Thisius was fifth at No. 1 singles and Kelch and
Kennedy Kleist finished fifth at No. 2 doubles.
Kleist finished sixth at No. 3 singles,
Mariah Kent was sixth at No. 5 singles and
Elizabeth Wahlquist was sixth at No. 6 singles. Thisius and Kent finished sixth at No. 1 doubles. Wahlquist and
Kayla Chamberlain were seventh at No. 3 doubles.
The Blue Devils finished sixth in dual competition and sixth at the conference tournament to finish sixth in the overall standings. UW-Whitewater won the team title, followed by UW-La Crosse, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Oshkosh, UW-River Falls, Stout and UW-Stevens Point.
