Warren Bowlus Open Heptathlon first day results
MENOMONIE (January 26, 2018) - Freshman
Alex Grulkowski was fourth after the first day of competition in the heptathlon at UW-Stout's Warren Bowlus Open Friday.
Of the 13 participants, Grulkowski tallied the most points in the long jump with a leap of 21-feet, 5.5-inches. Grulkowski ran 7.24-seconds in the 60-meter dash, threw the shot put 34-1.25, and leapt 5-9.75 in the high jump.
Fellow freshman
Noah Zastrow was 10th after the first day. Zastrow ran 7.51 in the 60, marked a 20-2.25 in the long jump, threw the shot 32-10.25 and had a high jump of 5-5.
The 60-hurdles, pole vault and 1000-meter run will be contest Saturday. The general meet begins at 12 p.m.
