STOUT LAST TIME OUT:
- If the Blue Devils were smarting last year after seeing a 10-game winning streak stopped last season against Northland College, Stout made the Lumberjills pay for the transgression Dec. 2 with a 68-26 home win.
- Stout needed only the first two minutes of the game to race out to a 10-0 lead on their way to a 68-26 win over Northland College Saturday at Johnson Fieldhouse. And the Blue Devil offense just kept rolling as the defense completely shut down the Lumberjills.
- Bailey Diersen hit a lay-up only seconds into the game, Kyncaide Diedrich followed up with a 3-pointer and Haley Seifert followed up with a 3-pointer of her own to give the Blue Devils an 8-0 lead and Anna Brown made it a 10 point lead.
- The Lumberjills would get on the scoreboard with about three minutes off the clock, but Stout raced out to a 24-5 first quarter lead, a 39-15 halftime advantage and a 53-20 third quarter lead. Stout would hold the Lumberjills to five points in the first period, 10 in the second, five in the third and six in the fourth.
- Diedrich led all scorers with 16 points, Brown finished with 12 and Diersen 10. Stout was able to empty their bench as 13 players scored and 13 players had at least one rebound. Stout shot 41.9 percent (26-62) from the field and hit 8-of-20 3-point attempts. Stout held a 40-23 advantage in rebounds. Emily Jacques finished with five rebounds.
- The Lumberjills were held to 25.6 percent (10-39) shooting and committed 25 turnovers.Stout recorded 12 steals, with Diedrich and Diersen each picking Northland's pocket four times.
- The 26 points by the Lumberjills was the fewest points Stout has allowed during the Mark Thomas era. The school mark stretches back to the 1970s when games were not nearly as high scoring on either side, with both sides scoring in the 20s and 30s. During the 1976-77 season, Stout defeated UW-Barron County by scores of 40-19 and 62-26. The next year, the Blue Devils defeated Barron County, a two-year school, 53-26.

St. Germaine earned Honorable Mention All-UMAC honors last season after finishing in the top five in the conference in rebounds, blocks and points per game. - MLC was held to 22.4 percent shooting for the game, and also committed 27 turnovers. The Knights outrebounded Calvin 52-42, were unable to take advantage of enough of heir second chance opportunities.
- Calvin ended the first half with a 29-20 lead, and then pushed the lead to 37-26 after a low-scoring third quarter for both teams. From there, the Calvin defense held the MLC offense to only two fourth-quarter field goals as they put the game away.
