STOUT LAST TIME OUT:
- UW-Stout started the second half on an 8-2 run to pull to within four points of UW-Superior four minutes into the second half, but the Yellowjackets held off the Blue Devils never allowing them closer than five points the rest of the game on their way to an 83-70 win Friday at Mortorelli Gymnasium.
- Stout's (3-3) Amber Fabeck hit a quick layup to open the second half, but Superior(4-2)Â countered with a bucket by Hannah Norlin. Stout's Kyncaide Diedrich scored the next six points, a 3-pointer, followed by a three-point play on a basket and a free free throw.
- The Yellowjackets slowly pulled ahead after that, taking a nine-point, 59-51, lead at the end of the third period.
- The Blue Devils attacked in the second half from the 3-point line, hitting seven long range bombs in the half and 10 for the game. But it wouldn't be enough to counter Superior's, well, superior shooting. The Yellowjackets shot 52.6 percent (10-19) in the third quarter and 76.9 percent (10-13) in the final quarter. Superior finished the game hitting 55.6 percent (35-63) from the floor.
- Stout finished the game shooting 40.3 percent (25-62) and was 40 percent (10-25) from beyond the arc.

- Fabeck scored 13 points and Diedrich dropped in 10 points. Stout held a slight 35-32 advantage off the glass, with Carolyn Feddema coming off the bench for six rebounds. The Blue Devils lost 59-45 at Ripon College, Nov. 21, but came back to defeat St. Catherine University, 67-56, Nov. 26.
- UW-Stout went on an 11-2 run to end the first half and went on to a 67-56 home opening win over St. Catherine University, Sunday on Dewey Mintz Court in Johnson Fieldhouse.
- With the score tied at 23-23, with three minutes remaining in the second period, Stout freshman Brianna Banks hit a 3-pointer to start off the run. Bailey Diersen went on to hit three layups in the run and Kyncaide Diedrich grabbed a rebound and went the distance to lay the ball in just before the halftime buzzer and Stout (2-2) led 34-25 at halftime.
- St. Catherine Story and Box Score
- Ripon College used a 17-6 third quarter to go past UW-Stout Tuesday at Weiske Gymnasium and handed UW-Stout a 59-45 decision.
