UW-Stout (8-2, 0-0 WIAC) opens the home portion of the schedule when they host Northland College (4-10) Tuesday, March 24 at 2 p.m. at Nelson Field. Stout is coming off a successful spring break trip where they went 5-1 in Fort Myers, Fla. The Lumberjacks have played games both in Florida this spring and in Wisconsin, playing games last week in Mauston and Plymouth. The game is scheduled to be available via Live Stats, but not in a live video stream.
THE BLUE DEVILS: The Blue Devils are off to one of their best starts in recent history. The Blue Devils were scheduled to open their season in early March in Marion, Ill, but poor weather postponed those games, moving them to the Twin Cities area. In what was probably Stout's earliest outdoor games in the Upper Midwest, the Blue Devils opened their season by splitting a pair of games with Bethel University, March 9. The Blue Devils then ran off six wins in a row by sweeping Hamline University by identical 4-3 scores the next day in Minnetonka, Minn., on a 66 degree day. Jake Lunow has been putting up good numbers at the plate, hitting .448 (13-29),w ith six doubles and six RBI. Lunow also has three stolen bases n three attempts.me Speaking of stolen bases, Brady Burzynzski has been lighting up the base paths and is a perfect 14-14 in stolen bases. Burzynski is hitting .323 (10-31) with eight RBI and has drawn a team-high eight walks, along with
Kasey Kruse, who also has eight walks from the lead off position. Kruse is 3-for-4 in stolen bases.
Josh Halling, who did not make the team the last two years, has latched on and is making the best of his time as a Blue Devils, starting eight games in right field. Halling has shown some power and has hit for average, putting up an average of .379 (11-29) with two doubles and two triples. Shortstop

Charlie Meyer with a team-best 10 RBI. As a team, Stout has stolen 25-of-29 attempted bases, while surrendering only seven in 15 attempts. On the hill,
Hayden Bowe has a 2-0 record with an earned un average of 1.02 with 13 strikeouts.
Zach Carlson has a 2-1 overall record with an ERA of 3.44 and 12 strikeouts. Freshman

Austin Booher has come out of the bullpen five tiems and has picked up a win and two saves with an ERA of 1.52. Stout has a team ERA of 3.58.
THE LUMBERJACKS: The Lumberjacks will be looking to shake off a seven game losing stream. Northland was at Lakeland College Sunday, dropping a pair of close contests to the Muskies, 1-0, 2-0. In game one, the Muskies scored the only run of the game in the first inning and made it stand up through the seven inning contest. In game two, there was no scoring until the sixth inning when Lakeland put up a pair of runs. Matt Alberino is leading the team at the plate, hitting .380 (19-50) with two doubles and four RBI. Jakob Freele is right behind at .379 (11-29). Jacob Hodgdon is hitting .364 (12-33), Mitcel Howard .321 )17-53), Matt Lennon .319 )15-47) and Daniel Kollauf .318 (14-44). Lennon leads the team in RBI with 12. Kaullauf has two triples and Howard has the team's lone home run. Kyle Strom has worked 26.2 innings, posting a team-best 3.38 ERA with 16 strikeouts. Logan Schuman has tossed 21.2 innings with an ERA of 8.31 and eight strikeouts.
