Stout 3, Mount Ida College 2
CLERMONT, Fla. (March 16, 2011) - After a loss against SUNY-Plattsburgh, 0-2, Stout played another close game this time taking the win, 3-2, over Mount Ida College, Wednesday at the National Training Center College Spring Games.
Stout played a tough first game against SUNY-Plattsburgh, losing 0-2, not quite getting enough hits, but they turned it around for the second game of the day.
After being tied one to one most of the game against Mount Ida, Stout was able to score one run in the fifth and sixth inning to gain a two run lead. In the bottom of the seventh inning, with the third out strike out by
Brittany Reiter (Fr, Eau Claire), the Blue Devils were able to hold Mount Ida to one run and win the game.
Courtney Richardson (Fr, Miltona, Minn) lead the team with two RBI's.
Stout finishing off their spring break action will take on Messiah College and New England College Thursday, March 17th.
