UW-Stevens Point 79, UW-Stout 55
MENOMONIE (December 1, 2010) - Just about everyone got into the act for UW-Stevens Point as the Pointers defeated UW-Stout in the conference opener, 79-55, Wednesday at Berg Gym.
The Pointers (5-1, 1-0) took a 44-21 halftime lead and were able to empty their bench.
Stout (3-4, 0-1) was led by
Tricia VanVreede (Sr, Little Chute) with 15 points, nine in the second half, and eight rebounds.
Sami Schoeder (Fr, Durand) added 12 points and nine rebounds.
The Pointers started the game off on a 14-2 opening run and led by no less than 10 points the rest of the night.
Sam Barber came off the bench to score 11 points for Stevens Point and Britta Petersen added 10 points.
Stout will host UW-Whitewater, Saturday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m.
