Amanda Giesen has been a steady influence for UW-Stout throughout and certainly was during Stout’s two wins last week, a 75-58 win at UW-Stevens Point, Feb. 2, and a 58-56 win over UW-Oshkosh, Feb. 5. Giesen scored 14 points against the Pointers and led the team with 18 points against Titans. Against Oshkosh, Giesen scored four points in each of the first three quarters, then finished the game with six points in the decisive fourth quarter. She was the same off the glass, getting a rebound in the first period, two in each of the second and third periods and four in the fourth quarter. Giesen was 9 for 16 from the field (.563) against the Titans and 5 for 8 (.625) against the Pointers. On the week, Giesen shot 14 of 24 from the field (.583), 2 of 6 from the 3-point range (.333) and 2 of 4 from the line, averaging 31.5 minutes. She had 16 total rebounds and three assists.
