Charlie Szykowny was selected to the 2021 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Midwest Region Third Team and was a first-team All-WIAC selection at shortstop. Szykowny broke several UW-Stout single season records, finishing on top of the single season list for at-bats (172), runs scored (56) and doubles (22). Szykowny found his way on base in 41 of 42 games, and saw his consecutive games on-base streak snapped at 45, stretching back to the 2019 season. Szykowny finished the season with 22 multiple-hit games - 18 with two, two with three, two with four. Szykowny finished with a batting average of .372, a slugging percentage of .605 and an on-base percentage of .610. When Szykowny got on base, he was threat to cross home plate, scoring at least one run in 31 of 42 games. Szykowny led the Blue Devils in stolen bases with 11 and three times stole two bases in a single game. He was named the WIAC position player of the week May 11 after going.500 (14-28), scoring 10 runs and driving in seven runs, rapping out nine doubles on the week over six games, May 4, 7, 8. Stout was the leader across Division III in double plays and Szykowny participated in 32 double plays.
