Brent Heilman earned All-Midwest Region honors by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) in the 200-meter. Heilman advanced to the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championship in the 200-meter and as the anchor of the 4x400-meter relay. Heilman placed 10th in the 200m and 14th in the relay. Heilman was a member of the 4x400-relay team when they qualified to the national meet by running a 3:15.97, then dropped that time a week later to 3:15.91, a time that moved into the top 10 on the Stout all-time list. Heilman finished second at the WIAC Championship in the 200-meter.
